The new visa agreement between India and Maldives came into force. The new policy provides a liberal visa policy for Maldivian citizens seeking medical treatment as well as education and business opportunities in India.

Shri S.S. Srinivas has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), South Coast Railway by Ministry of Railways. He is an Indian Railways Personnel Service (IRPS) officer who previously held the post of Chief Personnel Officer (Administration), South Central Railway.

Both of them are Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officers. Mr. Dubey has been appointed as Special Director, ED in Delhi while Mr. Kumar in Chennai.

Under the Mudra Yojana, the bank has offered loan to over 2.69 lakh small entrepreneurs this fiscal.

Saudi Arabia’s state minister for Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir met PM Narendra Modi in Delhi. Jubeir’s visit to India comes days after his trip to Pakistan’s Islamabad. Saudi minister’s visit comes after Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s stand-alone visits to India and Pakistan soon after the Pulwama terror attack.

Draft on Reintegration proposes a monthly stipend and jobs for those who Shun militancy by the Jammu and Kashmir government. The move is to encourage the youths hailing from Jammu and Kashmir to Shun militancy. The government proposes to offer them a monthly stipend of Rs. 6000 and jobs.

- A 3-member mediation panel created by SC to settle Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid Case
For the amicable settlement of Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case, the five-judge bench, headed by the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi, constituted a three-member mediation panel headed by former Supreme Court (SC) judge Justice F. M. Kalifullah to resolve the issue.
