1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a state-of-the-art convention centre named “Rudraksh” at his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi. It has as many as 108 Rudraksha at the centre. Its roof is shaped like a ‘Shiva Linga’. Built on 2.87 hectares of land at Sigra area, the two-storey structure has a seating capacity of 1,200 people. The convention centre has been built with the assistance from Japan International Cooperation Agency.
2. The government boys high school located in Stone Building College in Malleshwaram will become the first government high school in the country to develop a satellite. The students of the school will be involved in a programme of developing 75 satellites as part of the 75th Independence Day celebrations which will be held next year.
3. The Union Cabinet approved a pact between India and Russia regarding cooperation on coking coal, a key steel making raw material, for which domestic players remain dependent on imports from a select group of countries.

A group of influential Indian-Americans, scholars, diplomats and entrepreneurs have come together to write an anthology ‘Kamala Harris and the Rise of Indian Americans’ to document the historic election of Kamala Harris as the Vice President of the United States and the rise of the small but powerful Indian diaspora in this country. 5. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully conducted the third long-duration hot test on the liquid propellant Vikas engine that would launch the ambitious Gaganyaan programme.
6. Singapore unveiled one of the world’s largest floating solar panel farms, which can produce enough electricity to power the island’s five water treatment plants.
7. Government launched digital platform Kisan Sarathi to facilitate farmers to get right information at right time in their desired language. Farmers can avail personalized advisories on agriculture and allied areas directly from scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra through the digital platform.
8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Gandhinagar railway station which is now set to house world-class amenities at par with modern airports. A five-star hotel has been built atop the platform, construction of which was started way back in 2017. The luxury hotel will have 318 rooms and will be operated by a private entity. It is spread across 7,400 square meters and has been built at a cost of ₹790 crore.
