1. The fourth round of national serosurvey was conducted in 70 districts across the country between June and July, informed Indian Council of Medical Research Director General Dr Balram Bhargava on July 20, 2021. A total of 28,975 people were enrolled and the overall seroprevalence was found to be 67.6 percent in the entire population.

7. Amazon Rainforest is emitting more carbon dioxide (CO2) than it absorbs in some areas, as per a study published in the scientific journal Nature on July 14, 2021. The study states that the role of the Amazon Rainforest as a carbon sink to absorb more CO2 in the atmosphere seems to be declining.
