Frequently Asked Questions – KMDC Loan
1. What is Registration ID?
This is an alpha numeric ID that is generated when a student applies online for seeking ARIVU loan and data gets saved. Student will get this Registration id via SMS to the mobile number that he/she has entered in the application. Student should remember this Registration ID for all future correspondence with KMDC, so please note it down.
2. What is CET Number?
CET Number is the CET application number and is mandatory to enter for CET students who are appearing for CET.
3. What is NEET Number?
NEET number can be entered, if the student is taking NEET and wishes to avail NEET fee amount as loan through KMDC Arivu scheme
4. What to do after entering data online?
Save the data using Save Button, take the print out of the application and verify for the information entered, if any correction is required then do the following –
- Click Modify Application Link
- Enter Registration ID
- IF you have forgotten Registration ID, click on Forgot Registration ID Link
- Enter your SSLC /10th std Number to get SMS for your Registration ID
- Enter the Registration ID
- Click on Get OTP to get SMS for OTP, you can use Resend OTP option if you do not get OTP
- Key in OTP to edit the data in the Arivu online application, after making the modifications, Save the data
- Take the Print of modified application form and verify. It is possible to modify the data any number of times till you submit the paper copy (Hard copy) that will have a QR code to the District office. Once the hard copy is submitted to the respective District Office, you will not be
able to modify the data. Only print out taken from the KMDC website with a QR code will be accepted in the District Office. No other application will be accepted. - After verifying application for correctness, click on Submit Button, the application will be sent online to District office
- You will receive the SMS after Submit, further you will not be able to make any changes in the application
5. Where to submit the printed application?
Fill in the Declaration & Sign the application; submit the application to the KMDC district office along with the copies of the required documents.
6. After submitting the application at District office, what next?
The status of the application can be checked by clicking on the link provided on the website at any point of time.
7. You can traverse to any page using the menu.
8. You can preview and download the application using Print/View menu option.
9. Indemnity bond format can be downloaded from the Home page.

Important Date For KDMC Loan – Arivu Scheme
The last date for submission of Online ARIVU Loan Applications who have qualified in Common Entrance Test (CET) / National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) for Medical, Dental and other Professional Courses through Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is 18th September, 2020. Hard copy of documents are to be submitted to the concerned KMDC District Office within the last date. Applications will be considered on merit basis and according to availability of limited fund. Swavalamban Scheme
Under this scheme (Swavlamban yojna), persons belonging to religious Minority communities, in association with and through Banks/financial institution, are financially assisted to start and improve Business, Small Scale Cottage Industries, Service sector, Agriculture based activities etc., Loan is provided through various Nationalized Banks/Financial Institutions / co-operative societies for the maximum project cost up to ₹.5,00,000/. 20% of the project cost will be sanctioned by the Corporation as Margin Money loan @ 6% interest p.a and 5% of unit cost or maximum of ₹.25,000/- as subsidy Balance is provided as loan by the Banks/Financial institutions / co-operative societies

Ganga Kalyan Scheme
The Ganga Kalyan Scheme is a Irrigation facility to provided the agricultural land through lift irrigation scheme utilizing the perennial source of water (rivers) and lifting water through pipe lines. Wherever perennial water sources are not available, bore wells are drill on the water points identified by the expert geologists.
Lift Irrigation Scheme
Eligibility:
- The beneficiaries should belong to the religious minority communities as defined in the Government Order.
- Should be permanent residents of Karnataka State.
- They should be small and marginal farmers.
- The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹.22,000/-
Note: Those who have less than 5 acrs and Minimum 7 persons from Minority community whose lands are adjacent to each other will be provided with Lift irrigation facility.
Individual Borewell
Under this scheme, for the beneficiaries holding 2 to 5 acres of land, one borewell will be drilled or open well will be constructed and pump set will be supplied by KMDC. The total expenditure is ₹.1,50,000/- this includes pump & Energisation charges.

- The beneficiaries should belong to the religious minority communities defined in the Government Order.
- Should be permanent residents of Karnataka State.

Ganga Kalyan Scheme selection process
The District Managers of the concerned District invites the application through newspapers. The received application will be scrutinized and District Manager will place the proposal before the Taluk committee headed by concerned Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) who is the Chairman of the Committee. The Committee will select the beneficiary and forward the proceedings to the District head office.

Sharmashakti Scheme
Under the Sharmashakti scheme , the minority artisans will be financially assisted to improve their Artistic and Technical skill to carry on with their trade or for commencing, or developing small business and with a loan up to Rs.50,000/- (maximum) will be provided at lower rate of interest to improve their business. Out of this amount, 50% of the loan will be considered as back end subsidy to the beneficiary.
Eligibility:
The applicant should be a resident of Karnataka by birth or domicile and he should belong to the Religious Minority community and whose annual income is within ₹.22,000/- can apply for loan under this Scheme.

Land Purchase Scheme
Under the Land Purchase scheme, the Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation (KMDC) will purchase the agricultural land and this will be given to the poor landless minority farmers in the rural areas. 2 acres of Dry Land or 1 acre of wet land will be distributed to each beneficiary. The Government has recently issued an order revising the rate of land as double the guidance value which is limited to ₹.2.50 lakhs including the Registration expenses since the cost of land has increased to implement the scheme successfully. The cost of land will be treated as 50% loan and 50% subsidy to the beneficiaries. The loan has to be repaid in 10 years in ½ yearly instalments @ 6% interest per annum.
Benefits: 2 acres of Dry Land or 1 acre of wet land
Cost of the Land: 2.50 lakhs (50% loan and 50% subsidy)
Rate of interest per annum: 6%
Repayment of Loan: 10 years in ½ yearly instalments
Land Purchase Scheme selection process
The Corporation is allocating the physical and financial target based on allocation made in the budget and population. The District Managers of the concerned District invites the application through news papers. The received application will be scrutinized and the same will be placed before the district committee headed by Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district who is the chairman of the committee. The committee will select the beneficiary.

Micro Loan with Subsidy Scheme
This Micro Loan with Subsidy Scheme is implemented through self-help groups. The group so formed should have 10 to 20 members. The group should have aim to involve its members in any of the lucrative business activity. The members after forming a self-help group should select two of its members as group leader 1 and 2. They should open a bank account in the name of the self-help group with the authorized signatory as group leaders 1 & 2. The group should consist of only religious minority persons. Priority in this scheme will be given to the Women Self-help groups. The Minority communities persons residing in city areas and rural areas who wish to start petty business like vegetable/fruit vending through push carts, kallai making, bed making, pan shop, groundnut selling, cycle repairing, gas/arc welding, vulcanizing, fish selling, tea shop etc., will be provided loan of Rs.10,000 to each members. The loan will be sanctioned directly to the Self help group which in turn will further disbursed the loan to its members with a subsidy of ₹ 5,000.

Karnataka Christian Development Parishath Scheme
During 2011-12, Karnataka Christian Development Parishath was established on 5th November 2011 for over all development of Christian Community. The Budget allocation will be made to Directorate of Minorities, by the Government. Out of this, 40% has been provided to KMDC for implementing the on-going schemes of the Corporation viz, Arivu Education loan, Shramashakti, Micro loan with subsidy and Site Purchase/ Home Loan Interest subsidy Scheme for housing loans, as per the existing guidelines for the development of the Christian community.

Site Purchase and Interest Subsidy on Housing Loan Scheme
Under the Site Purchase and Interest Subsidy on Housing Loan Scheme such of the minority community who has taken loan for the purpose of construction of House, from the Banks / Financial Institutions an interest subsidy upto ₹.1.00 Lakh will be reimbursed. Also those of the minority community who are economical poor and desirous of obtaining loan to purchase a site, a loan upto ₹.5.00 lakhs will be given.

NMDFC Scheme
The National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC), Delhi, is implementing its scheme through State Channelizing Agency viz., Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation (KMDC) in Karnataka. Some of the enhancements in the schemes are as under.
- Term Loan scheme for Business, Services and Transport sector.
- Under Micro Finance Scheme, enhancement of loan component from ₹.25,000/- to ₹.50,000/- to each member of SHG
- Under Educational Loan Scheme, Short Term Loan upto a maximum of ₹.3 Lakhs for high skill development programme of 01 year duration.
- Loan upto a maximum of ₹.10 lakhs for Professional Courses of maximum 05 years duration.
- Loan upto ₹.20 Lakhs to the student pursuing studies for 05 years in abroad.
- Vocational training programme for unemployed minority youth. Marketing assistance scheme.
- Revised income limit for implementation of NMDFC Scheme enhancement from ₹.40,000/- to ₹.81,000/- in rural areas and from ₹.55,000/- to ₹.1.03 Lakhs in urban areas
- Enhancement of Monthly Training fee from ₹.1,000/- to ₹.2,000/- for vocational training courses. Enhancement of Stipend from ₹.500/- to ₹.1,000/-.
