About

Karnataka state fire and Emergency Services Department is the first responder department in the events of fire, rescue and disasters. The uniqueness of this department lies in the fact that, the Fire and Emergency Service personnel knowingly enter the hazardous areas, collapsed buildings, poisonous atmosphere etc, when the people are running away from these premises. They live to the dictum “We Serve to save”.

Educational Qualification

Fireman: 10th / SSLC passed from State Govt / Central Govt (CBSC) board
Fireman Driver: 10th / SSLC passed along with heviy Driving licence
Fire Station Officer: Any Degree required from recognized University

Selection process:
Selection will consists of Test, Physical standard Test and Physical Fitness Test

Height of the Candidate Min 168 Cms
Chest of the Candidate 81 -86 Cms
Weight of the Candidate Min 50 Kgs

Candidates must pass at least three out of the above five Physical Fitness tests to qualify. Twenty marks will be awarded for each Physical Exam. Candidates who have passed the three, four and five Physical Ability Test will be providing Sixty, Eighty and One Hundred marks respectively. When preparing a Merit List of choice, combine the marks obtained in the Physical Examination and the percentage points obtained in the SSLC or equivalent test will be considered.
