- Ravneet Gill is Appointed as MD and CEO of Yes Bank
Ravneet Gill, Former India chief of Deutsche Bank, took charge as the Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of private sector lender Yes Bank. He will have a three-year term. Mr. Gill succeeds Rana Kapoor, the co-founder of the bank, whose term ended on January 31, 2019.

Mehta, who was 59 years old, had assumed office as an Additional Judge of Delhi high court on April 15, 2009. Mehta got enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1982 and began his career in law by practicing in the Delhi High Court, district courts and various tribunals in civil matters.

Scientists led by IIT researcher Abhishek Srivastava have discovered tadpole-shaped jets coming out of regions with intense magnetic fields on the Sun. Formally called pseudo-shocks, the “tadpoles” are made entirely of plasma, which accounts for an estimated 99% of the observable universe.

Air Marshal Raghunath Nambiar, who played a prominent role in the Kargil Operations, has taken over as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Western Air Command of the Indian Air Force. The Air Marshal is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and was commissioned in the Flying Branch of the Air Force as a Fighter Pilot in June 1981.

West Indies opener Chris Gayle becomes the first batsman ever to smash 500 or more sixes in international cricket. In the 4th ODI against England in Grenada, Gayle scored 162 runs. His innings contained a staggering 14 sixes and powered the Windies to their highest-ever ODI score of 389.
