- The Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change have approved the construction of the Song Dam Drinking Water Project worth Rs 1100 crore in Dehradun.
- India’s gross domestic product or GDP contracted 7.5% in the quarter ending September in comparison to the same period last year, data released by the Union ministry of statistics and programme implementation (MoSPI) showed.

The project namely ‘Provision of Solar Photo Voltaic Power plant 1.5 MW’ has been completed within 12 months well before the completion deadline of March 31, 2021. The total cost of the project is Rs 122 crore.
- Faqir Chand Kohli, (F.C. Kohli), known as the father of Indian Software Industry, passed away in Mumbai following cardiac arrest. He was 96. He was the founder of India’s largest software company TCS.
